This friday, Buddy Merriam will make his debut at the Staller Center for the Arts Recital Hall performing 3 of his original tunes with Taylor Ackley and the Deep Roots Ensemble. Buddy will join the Ensemble for a full set of American Roots, bluegrass and original music. We are very excited about this recent collaboration between these music men and look forward to more down the road. This is free and open to the public.

Hi friends, It's been an exciting few years. Buddy Merriam received the Long Island Sound Award from the Long Island Music Hall of Fame at the Folk & Fiddle Festival "for Buddy's Outstanding Contributions to Long Island's Musical Heritage." and Proclamations from Suffolk County & the Town of Babylon for his work with the LI Bluegrass Festival, hosting "Blue Grass Time" on WUSB 90.1fm for over 30 years and keeping Bluegrass Music alive here on Long Island.
Buddy is a founding Board of Directors member of the Mandolin Heritage Asso. -the first project is to transcribe 200 more of the 1000 mandolin compositions Buddy has written over the last 50 years. Included are videos of each piece and will become the start of the Buddy Merriam Archive that will include all of his music, photographs & videos, mandolin music books, live field recordings memorabilia, Bill Monroe photos and live recordings. Buddy's way to pass on his life in music to future generations to learn from.
